Announcements:
7/24/00 Major update to the St. Louis Fire Department page. Added additional Marine Units & Medic Units. Added reserve equipment and locations, and finally
added Lambert Field equipment. Also updated Fenton's page w/ a new engine house and apparatus moves. Many thanks to Tom Wansong for providing the information!
7/14/00 Due to a stupid mistake on my part, the guestbook was broken. I was
receiving the posts via email just fine. They just didn't show up on the page. This error has
now been corrected. Many thanks go to Jon Chrzanowski for the STLFD battalion chief information which is now up, and for keeping me abreast of the incoming Smeal quints. Oh yeah, he also
provided me with a list of fire chiefs for St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson counties...this information is being added as time permits. Also check out the nice pic of the newly repainted
quint 1722 on Mehlville's page...graciously provided by Mehlville FF Dennis Maag. THANKS
GUYS!
7/14/00 This entry is all by itself for a reason. The guestbook is there for your convenience. Use it for what ever you like. Provide updates, make comments, say hi,
even point out errors (I really don't mind). But please refrain from using it for
personal or business advertising! Such posts will be promptly deleted.
6/27/00 Updated the scanner page with a few corrections that have been brought to my attention. STLFD page has also been updated with the newest deliveries to the 7's and the 35's. Will be making a big update - hopefully around 7/1/00 - while I am on a long and much needed vacation.
01/27/00 Of late, I have received numerous e-mails requesting information
on job openings & requirements, as well as requests for patches and surplus equipment.
While I would love to personally be able to assist those of you making such requests, it
simply isn't possible. I am not a firefighter nor do I have any official connections with
any department. I don't wish to turn away anyone who takes the time and the effort to write
me, but I really have no choice in the matter. I hope you understand.
02/03/99 A request. I'm very proud of this endeavor, and I'd
like to once again thank those of you who have contributed to the success of the
site in one way or another (check the credits page).
But, gathering all of this information is one thing. Keeping it
current is quite another! If you visit this site on even a semi-frequent basis and
are involved in the fire service here in the St. Louis metro area, please
consider joining forces with me to keep this site as accurate and up to date
as possible. That is in fact my goal. If you find errors, or have additional or new information to
provide - please do so! Drop me a quick e-mail (a link is provided below)
and pass the information along. There's only one of me, and my resources
are finite - but with your help so much more is possible.
Thanking you in advance - Mike
